Jessica is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who partners with Dr. Paliniswamy. She originally went to Fresno State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology, but discovered nursing as a passion. She then went back to school to become a nurse. She has been a nurse since 2011, graduating with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Fresno City College. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Science from University of Texas at Arlington online RN-BSN program in 2013. In 2022, she earned her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from Fresno Pacific University. The majority of her nursing career has been at Clovis Community Hospital in the Critical Care Units. She has gained experience in multiple units throughout the hospital, including Medical-Surgical, Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, Stepdown, Emergency, Post-partum, and Intensive Care. She also spent a few years as a Clinical Instructor for Fresno State’s Nursing Department, where she also developed a love for teaching.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Jessica began her career in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, where she gained invaluable experience in communicating with patients and their families. She transitioned to cardiology due to her passion for cardiac health and experiencing first hand heart disease in her family. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, California Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, American College of Cardiology, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Jessica came to Fresno from the Bay Area to attend Fresno State, but now considers the Fresno area her home. She is passionate about continuing to promote the health and well being of our patient population, and excited to expand her knowledge base within Cardiology.
